Checking your Mac Version
You'll find that many of our support articles are specific to the version of Mac Operating System you are using. If you're not sure which version of Mac OS X you have, here's an easy way to find out:
Broadband
For broadband setup, start with checking that your phone filter(s) is placed in the right spot and then check that the ADSL light is lit up on your modem. Setup your modem as per the instruction manual or if you have one, with the Startup CD included in the box.
Still not working? Try some of these settings for your Mac. Choose the Mac OS X version for your computer.
- I can't access my modem (Mac OS X 10.5)
- I can't access my modem (Mac OS X 10.3/4)
- I can't access my modem (Mac OS X 10.2 and below)
- Can access modem, but can't connect to the Internet (Mac OS X 10.5)
- Can access modem, but can't connect to the Internet (Mac OS X 10.3/4)
- Can access modem, but can't connect to the Internet (Mac OS X 10.2 and below)
Dialup
To set up dialup for your Mac choose the Mac OS X version for your computer.
To set up your email program choose the Mac OS X version for your computer.
